☀️ Happy National Ice Cream Day! ☀️

Though, everyday is ice cream day here, especially at the moment! 😋

ALL of our ice cream (every single tub) is made by OURSELVES here on our family farm, using fresh organic milk from our Jersey-cross cows. This means that we're in control of the whole process from how the milk is produced to churning it, putting it into tubs and delivering to stockists.

Our ice cream is available in small tubs (with a spoon in the lid ready to eat straight away) as well as large tubs for sharing and big napoli tubs for catering. Aswell as selling our ice cream directly from the farm, we're proud to supply a number of local quality farmshops, campsites, tourist attractions, theatres and restaurants throughout the cotswolds.

On the ice cream farm, this past week: ☀️

🌅 5am Best time of the day

🚚 When your delivery run is what people pay for on a tour of the Cotswolds, taking in the sights of Snowshill, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bledington, Long Compton, Todenham, Blockley, Ebrington, Chipping Campden, Broadway and the Cotswold hills & views in between!

🌼 Regular morning trips to Cotswold Lavender Ltd to keep them stocked up with ice cream. The lavender fields are looking amazing at the moment, so visit this week if you haven't already.

🎬 We welcomed a film crew to the farm, starting bright and early to capture morning milking & then ice cream making. It will be shown next year on ITV - we'll keep you posted. Way out of our comfort zone 😬 but they were really nice so it was a positive experience!

🌸 Beautiful, bright summer blooms available from our shop. Grown & arranged by Ravenswing Flowers local, no nasties.

What a time to be a Cotswold Ice Cream Maker!! 😋 (not such a great time to be a Cotswold dairy farmer as the fields are looking increasingly sparse & there's little rain in sight - but we'll gloss over that for now!) Ready for next week & another big one in the ice cream room 😎🍨

Well deserved ice creams for U15 Eagles yesterday after a hot match in the sunshine 🥵

They took the win, to maintain their unbeaten record for the season and secure their place as league winners! 🏏🙌

We're pleased to supply ice creams to Chipping Campden Cricket Club and Cropredy CC where they go down a storm after Friday youth training sessions. If you're looking for ice creams for your club or event get in touch!

Churning out double ice cream mixes at 4.30am and squeezing in extra ice cream deliveries on the school run, can only mean one thing . . . . .HEATWAVE ☀️

Here are a few pics from the heatwave a couple of weeks ago when we were putting in a serious shift to keep the freezers full in our shop & for our stockists, and looks like it's going to be another hot one this week!

Whilst we're busy keeping everyone supplied with ice cream, the cows are keeping cool in our orchards. They really come into their own at this time of year providing plenty of shade 🌳

Happy World Milk Day!

Milk is one of the most versatile and nutrient dense foods known to man, packed with protein, all essential amino acids and fifteen essential micronutrients.

The milk we sell from our farm, all comes from our herd of organic, grass-fed Jersey-cross cows. After milking, we gently pasteurise the milk in small batches at low temperature and leave it unhomogenised in order to retain it's natural goodness and great taste.

We probably don't shout about the benefits of milk enough and today we're raising a glass of the good stuff to celebrate World Milk Day! 🥛

☀️ Heatwave incoming ☀️😎

We are ready, and our freezers are full of ice cream, in a host of fabulous flavours, both small tubs to enjoy straight away and larger tubs to take home, share, or enjoy straight away!
All made here on the farm with the creamy, organic milk from our Jersey-cross cows.

We're open as usual over the bank holiday weekend:

🐝 World Bee Day 🐝

We were so giddy with excitment yesterday after Arsenal won the Premier League that we forgot to mention World Bee Day - we know, how could we! These incredible creatures are so crucial to biodiversity and our planet. Massive apologies to the bees.

When we moved to the farm, nealy seven years ago, we noticed what looked like a few abandoned bee hives covered in brambles. We enlisted the help of local bee keeper Martyn to help us investigate. Martyn donned his bee suit and bravely took on the task of uncovering the hives. It was like discovering buried treasure (though he was battling with brambles rather than pirates) as he gradually discovered an incredible 14 hives!

Most of the hives were rotten and one had become a wax moth breeding ground as but Martyn found 5 active colonies of bees too. Martyn brought new hives up to the farm and successfully transferred the bees into these and has been managing the hives on the farm ever since, looking after the bees and harvesting their amazing honey which is available from our farm shop.

Big thank you to Swindon Town fan Martyn for all of his hard work looking after the bees and collecting their very popular honey.

And big up the amazing bees! 🐝 Did you know that they need to fly about 55,000 just to make a pound of honey? 🍯

Our shop is open from 8am - 7pm today.

Beautiful flowers from are back (Alison uses seasonal flowers from our farm garden or grown by herself in Broadway and as we come into summer they'll now be available regularly on Friday & Saturdays.)

This weekend we also have organic rhubarb from our farm garden.

Of course, as usual there's plenty of fresh organic milk (fill your own container or a reusable glass bottle from our milk dispenser.) Make your own shake from our milkshake bar and we've got delicious ice cream, all made here on the farm available in small and large tubs.

Most of our calves have moved to a bigger barn but we still have these cute youngsters by the shop to greet you when you arrive.
