New Forest Fruit is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Grower to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fruit growing, horticulture or a similar agricultural role, with a passion for crop production and a hands-on approach.

The role includes:
• Supporting the Grower with day-to-day crop management
• Monitoring plant health, irrigation and crop development
• Assisting with general growing operations
• Working as part of a friendly, hands-on team

Every year, Commoners' animals are sadly killed or injured on New Forest roads.

It's why the New Forest Commoners’ Defence Association (CDA), with support from New Forest - Forestry England and the New Forest National Park Authority, relaunched what was formerly known as the Shared Forest Business Group to New Forest Drive Safe.

We’re delighted that local businesses are getting behind the campaign and helping spread the message of safer driving.

Thank you to - among many others - Esme's Tea Rooms Brockenhurst, Yewtree Workshops Fawley, Cyclexperience New Forest and The New Forest Fruit Co Ltd for supporting the scheme.

By joining New Forest Drive Safe, businesses help their staff and customers understand the risks of animal accidents, promote safer driving and share seasonal safety advice.

Around 40% of Britain's food is imported, including 80% of fruit and 47% of vegetables, making the UK more vulnerable to food price shocks than much of Europe. Many of our suppliers are under growing climate pressure: 90% of the top 20 countries supplying the UK's healthy staples are rated as moderately to severely vulnerable to climate breakdown, threatening future yields and exports.

Much of this risk is avoidable. Apples, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and pears, five of the UK's nine most-purchased fruits, all grow well here, yet we produce less than 40% of what we consume for four of them.

To help fill this gap, we need to back Britsh farmers on food procurement. The government should deliver on its pledge and source 50% of public sector food locally. It could add £1 billion a year to British farming and create a more sustainable and resilient food system.

We're delighted to announce that three of our wines have been selected as Finalists in the Great British Food Awards 2026!

Our B58 Red, Beaulieu Red and Beaulieu White all impressed the judges in the first round and we're looking forward to hearing what the next round of judges think!

The Great British Food Awards were launched in 2014 to celebrate the very best artisanal produce in the food and drink industry, and we are thrilled to have made it to the Finalist stage after rigorous tasting on numerous tasting days.
