We are set for a dreary few days so that means, warm and hearty meals!

After months of blazing heat, we can finally get back to eating. We love the change of weather as that's when the pots come out and filled with delicious stews or slow cooked meals 🤤🤤

In preparation we have beef ribs, lamb neck (on and off the bone), brisket, oxtail and Lilith's famous Jamaican mutton curry is back 🙌🏽🙌🏽

We've raised £700 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Now our anniversary month is over, we want to thank you all for taking part in our annual fundraiser, celebrating being your high street butchers!!!

We know times are tough so to be able to support two local causes this way means a lot. The money will be split between Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer and help towards the roof fund for Girlguiding Bromsgrove.

We are back in store after the bank holiday and good luck to all the young ones going back to school today. We are sure parents are breathing a sigh of relief 🤣🤣

Trying to make things easy as the school runs are back, so why not enjoy a simple and hearty tea with the family.

We have a great selection of 100% homemade pies and lots of Lashford sausages, something Toploaf needed topping up first thing too.

We are in for a dreary couple of days so why not huddle down with some great comfort food.

What a bank holiday Sunday ❤️

We served up 30 homecooked roasts yesterday and want to thank all our regular diners as well as the brand new visitors we had too, judging by the empty plates, you all enjoyed everything.

You also helped raise another £45 for our anniversary fundraiser too supporting Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer and Girlguiding Bromsgrove.

Once again a huge thank you to Callum and The Neighbourhood on our continued partnership 🙏🏼 It's amazing what can happen when good businesses work together.

Don't forget, we are closed tomorrow for the bank holiday and see you all back in store ay 8am on Wednesday.

It's the final bank holiday till christmas and also LIL'S SUNDAY ROASTS 🤤🤤🤤

Taking place in the heart of Rubery at The Neighbourhood, we will be serving up 30 roasts to hungry diners, friends and regulars.

Following that, we will be closed till Wednesday as we take advantage of a couple days rest. Can we just say a huge thank you to all your lovely comments and support following our recent media coverage.

You've got to love a rib of beef and check out this one that Michelle French trimmed ready for you. We have some on order this weekend but have a couple of fibs left, if you fancy a bank holiday treat!

Or, on the flip side, why not grab a chicken kebab for just £1!

Tomorrow is our monthly roasts and the bookings are looking lovely for it too. Lilith peels, roasts and serves every single plate. Again serving up her 3 smoked meat trio, if only you could smell the rub on her chicken thighs to be smoked later.

With a busy 3 days ahead and our weekly delivery from the farm, it's been an early start for us today. Did anyone catch us on Midlands Today this morning?

Lilith added yet more pies to our deli and here you can see her hand pressing each pie.

We don't buy in frozen cases, Lilith makes the pastry for the bases and presses them in the cases befor filling, adding the tops, pressing and then lettering. Showing theres a huge amount of work that goes in to every single pie. Gluten free pies will be available later today.

It's also our Sunday roasts this week and after pre cooking this amazing sirloin ready for the beef option! Today its all the veg prep after getting it all from Barrett’s Fruiterers Limited. There is still time to book, just contact The Neighbourhood direct.

Michelle has also been getting some options ready suitabke for the weather. Shes made up some delicious stew packs and her stuffed peppers are always a lighter option too.

Finally, last night we enjoyed our beef meatballs (that we cooked off in a little oil and butter). Making a tomato sauce from scratch with a touch of Dude Food Wiseguy in for a little kick, it was a banging dinner after a long day.

It's a good job we have lots of tasty options to hunker down with and enjoy!

From delicious local steaks to six different flavours of bromsgroves best homemade pies.

As our anniversary month comes to a close, it's the last few days to grab raffle tickets.

Every year we try and put back in to a community that supports us so much. We've always believed that it's important for businesses to support back.

This year we are supporting Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer and also helping Girlguiding Bromsgrove with funds towards their new roof.

We are back in store after a fantastic birthday weekend in Machester, where we also enjoyed this delicious roast from The Klondyke.

Talking of roasts....... with the last bank holiday till christmas this weekend, in true British style, is looking like a wash out. Why not book in for one of our traditional Sunday dinners.
