Fifth-generation Herefordshire farmer Anthony Legge founded farmshop, Legges, in 2000, driven by a passion for the rural community and a keen eye for quality local meat. Fast-forward 25 years, the food and drink we proudly source takes centre stage on dinner tables across the Midlands, and our handcrafted pies are being shipped to every corner of Britain. Bromyard born and bred, Anthony wanted to

give something back to his hometown when he finished his butchers training. He branched out and established Legges, working hard to build a name and a niche for the place in a county where reputation is everything. Anthony is still proudly at the helm, stocking our shelves with delicious wares from over fifty suppliers in Herefordshire alone, cooking up new ideas in our on-site kitchens, and exploring new meats and new potential. Come in and visit the shop on Tenbury Road, where our team will talk you through our produce every step of the way. Or visit our online shop, and experience the taste of Herefordshire wherever you may be.

We’re excited to share with you that James and Ellie from Shortwood Farm in Pencombe will be joining us at Beef Stock this weekend!

You’ll find them on the judging panel of Saturday’s Comp BBQ UK’s Freestyle Steak Round at 12pm, and talking on We are Farming Minds’ stage at 5.30pm across both days…

Anthony will be back for a meaty butchery masterclass at 3pm tomorrow and on Sunday, and you’ll also spot familiar faces serving up handmade lunches and Hereford beef specials on our stand throughout the weekend - if you’re coming along, be sure to say hello. 👋🏼
