A nice start to the 2026 show season Nottinghamshire County Show yesterday. Lovely to catch up with everyone. Wallingfen Vangogh taking Male Champion, Sylvia and calf winning their class and Vanity taking Reserve female Champion and Reserve breed Champion. Well done to all the other competitors and a thank you to everyone involved in running the show.

The continued demand for Limousin bulls across all types of enterprise was evident at the British Limousin Premier sale weekend held at Harrison & Hetherington’s Borderway Mart in Carlisle on 18th October and at United Auctions Stirling on 20th October.

🔸96 bulls were sold across both centres which was more than any other breed that weekend. This represents 17 more bulls sold than last October.

🔸Limousin was the top selling breed at the Stirling multibreed sale, achieving the highest price of all breeds.

🔸Over the weekend, over 70% of bulls sold for commercial suckler and dairy use. Confidence in the breed remains strong with top quality genetics geared towards growth, conformation and ease of calving widely available at affordable prices to suit all budgets.

🔸With Limousin-bred cattle dominating commercial trade in marts and abattoirs across the UK, now is the time for change and invest for the future in top performance genetics.
