⚠️ Warning – Unwanted Visitors! ⚠️

Yesterday afternoon, we had some unwelcome guests pay a visit to our shop.
Shortly after Colin from Colston Farm had stocked our fridge with a fantastic selection of fresh meat – including joints, steaks, ribs, sausages, burgers and more – two men and a young girl (around 10 years old) decided they fancied a feast, but unfortunately didn’t fancy paying for it.

After helping themselves to a significant amount of stock and even taking a bag of charcoal, our visitors apparently got peckish on the spot and sampled a sandwich. Judging by the fact they put it back, they clearly weren’t impressed with the flavour – although they didn’t pay for that either!

Running a small independent shop, especially a Post Office, is challenging enough. We continue to battle rising operating costs while facing ongoing cuts to our income. The last thing any small business needs is the disruption and financial loss caused by theft.

We work hard to serve our community and appreciate the support of our honest customers. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please get in touch.

We’re also sharing this as a warning to other shopkeepers and local businesses in the area. Please remain vigilant and keep an eye out for suspicious behaviour. Unfortunately, incidents like this can happen anywhere, and by looking out for one another we can help protect our local businesses and community.
