South West Dairy Show

First time back here after 7 years and we had a great time. We took 2 milkers and 2 heifers, achieving this with a 10 month in tow is not for the weak. Holly was so well behaved and smiled at most people 🤦🏽‍♀️

On Thursday we went to Holsworthy and Stratton Agricultural Show, the first of the one day shows we had entered that we could take cattle!
It was a great turn out in the AOD section with plenty of competition!
It was also Holly’s first show taking cattle 🐮

We came home with a 2nd, 4th and 6th in the ‘Heifer never had a calf’ class.
A 3rd in the ‘Heifer in Milk’ class with Tobarn Spartan Samanta. We would’ve loved to have taken her to more shows over the summer but unfortunately due to the BTV in the Southwest that put a stop to most of the shows having cattle.
In the youngstock class Tobarn Duke Samanta came 3rd in an impressive class of calves!

Cerys for the second year in a row won Champion Dairy young handler with Tobarn Spartan Violet, this calf also got second in the heifer class!
Cooper also had a go at leading the younger calf Samanta.
