Important message from Nigel Bowen, Project Co-Ordinator, about the end of our Buildwas Village Hall Meals on Wheels project: “Our project will be coming to an end at the end of May – so our last meal will be delivered on Friday 28th May. This is due to the end of our National Lottery Funding, and the village hall planning to re-open for general bookings once social distancing restrictions have been removed completely. This project was originally set up to alleviate the impact of COVID19 on local residents, and we hope that we have done that for you during what has been a difficult year. To date, we have delivered over 3,000 meals. However, Judy Holden (who provides the meals) is aware that many of you would like to continue receiving meals, and she’s therefore looking for a way to do this once our project ends. If this is possible, Judy will send you further details in due course. Please say a big ‘thank you’ to our drivers when you next see them, as they have given up their time to volunteer, and I want to take this opportunity to thank them for their dedication”
