Choose Your Alpaca Adventure:

The Alpaca Stroll: A gentle, relaxed 25-minute walk around our beautiful flat fields. Perfect for a leisurely pace (Duration: 2 hours total).

The Alpaca Walk Experience: Spend 40-45-minute with your alpaca walking on paths and tracks, finishing with a fun challenge on our alpaca agility course! (Duration: 2.5 hours total).

Special Anniversary Alpaca Trek - A scenic trek (1¼-1½ hrs) through the fields and footpaths around Stocking Pelham. (Duration: 3.5 hours total).

🦙✨ We were delighted to welcome the 2nd Royston Brownies for not one, but two special visits recently!

The girls had a fantastic time learning all about alpacas, discovering how their fleece is transformed into beautiful yarn and products, and meeting the stars of the show themselves. 🧶💛

There were plenty of opportunities for strokes, selfies and smiles as they spent time feeding and mingling with our boys in the field 🥕📸

A huge thank you to all the girls (and leaders!) for being such enthusiastic visitors. We loved having you and hope to see you again soon! 🦙🌿

☀️ What a difference a week makes!

After last week's mini heatwave, the alpacas are probably quite relieved that temperatures have cooled down a little! 😅

The boys certainly had the advantage during the hot spell – having shed their thick winter coats back in late April, they were already dressed for summer and keeping much more comfortable in the sunshine. 🦙✂️

Meanwhile, the girls discovered the best way to beat the heat... 💦

To mark our 10th anniversary, we are delighted to announce 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐤𝐬 in a beautiful new Hertfordshire location– not previously open for our walks.

These 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝-𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 experiences combine a guided alpaca trek with either a sparkling two-course lunch or an afternoon tea, depending on your chosen date.

Each guest will also receive some a lovely momento of alpaca fleece from their alpaca and a commemorative anniversary keepsake. A glass of prosecco (or non alcoholic equivalent is included in the price).

🦙✂️ Shearing day at Yew Tree!

The boys have had their annual haircut a little earlier than usual this year… and they’re now looking very smart (and a lot less fluffy!) 😄

A huge thank you to Tom and his team who travelled over from Mid Wales and got through the whole herd in under 3 hours – an incredible effort 👏

Quick shearing is great for the alpacas too, meaning less stress and a smooth in-and-out process for everyone. In total, we collected around 90kg of fleece from the boys! 🧶

With each alpaca carrying a thick coat of around 3.5–4.5kg, warmer spring weather can make things a bit uncomfortable for them. Shearing early helps keep them cool and happy as the season gets underway ☀️

Although it’s earlier than our usual May shearing, the boys are tucked up overnight for a few days to adjust – so no worries about those chillier nights 🌙

☀️ And now they’re all set for walking season!

Meet our "Class of 2017" boys: Rafa & Pedro! 🦙🎓

Both turning 9 this year, these two couldn't be more different:

🎾 Rafa: Our "wide and dumpy" sweetheart! Named after Nadal, he’s calm, friendly, and known for giving out kisses to his favourite visitors. He might not be built for speed, but he’s a champion walker!

🤓 Pedro: Our resident goofball! He has top-quality fleece (perfect for our yarn s & pillows!), but his goofy teeth are his real claim to fame. He’s a bit more spirited than Rafa, but with fans like Timeri coming back 5 times just to see him, he clearly has "it"!

Want to meet them? We have spaces left this Saturday (25th April) at 10:30am and 1pm!
