โ˜€๏ธ Sunbathing alpacas! ๐Ÿฆ™

Alpacas love a bit of sunshine and this summer weโ€™ve seen plenty of sunbathing sessions at Yew Tree! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒฟ

Theyโ€™re just as happy relaxing in the shade, but some are definitely sun worshippers! And no, we donโ€™t put Factor 50 on themโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜‚ Although our white-fleeced alpacas can occasionally get a little sunburnt if theyโ€™ve been recently sheared.

๐ŸŒ• And with the eclipse tonight, we wonder if our sun-loving boys and girls will be looking up at the sky for a change!

Thankfully, our boys took the heat completely in their stride, and all our guests did an amazing job too.

Our beautiful new route took us through cool woodland, along peaceful tracks, across open fields with stunning views and through grassy meadows โ€“ a truly spectacular setting for an alpaca trek. We really couldn't have asked for a better location.

A huge thank you to ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐ž๐ญ, the landowner, for so kindly allowing us to explore her wonderful countryside. Being almost entirely on private land meant we could simply relax and enjoy the walk without the usual distractions of busy paths or dogs.

After a well-earned refreshment stop, the boys were rewarded with their favourite treat โ€“ plenty of crunchy carrots! ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฆ™

Back at Yew Tree, everyone rounded off the afternoon with a delicious afternoon tea, sparkling drinks and a special 10th anniversary keepsake to remember the day.
