So this just happened!

I had to close my order book for all my Christmas orders during to the amount of polvoron I have to make (662 to be exact!) As much as I would like to keep it open, I physically can't as I am a one person operation. It's going to be a very busy weekend but grateful for all the support! 🥰

The Christmas Box! This mini box is a limited edition and only comes out during the festive season. Each box contains the following flavours:

Gingerbread
Cinnamon
Chocolate Orange

I only have a few of these boxes left. Once it is gone...it is gone. I will be posting the last batch of orders next week.

A treat this morning.

Just a little reminder that it's OK to have quiet mornings. Some "me" time is important to recharge and just be in the moment. Life gets too busy and if we schedule quiet times to ourselves, it will (hopefully) be enough to recharge us so we can deal with things as it comes.

This black packaging looks so cool and elegant! The Polvoron colours just "pop". Does this mean I am changing my packaging? No I am not. Changing my more eco friendly kraft box packaging means more expense. And during these times we have to watch every penny.

Happy Birthday Mama! I didn't have time to bake your favourite cake this year but I have Polvoron. I stacked it to make it look like a cake...just for you. This one's a new flavour. I'm sure you would've enjoyed trying this with your cup of coffee. I miss you so much. 🥲

"KALAYAAN" (pronounced: kah-lah-yah-an) means freedom in Tagalog (Philippines' national language).

Why post about this word? Because today is The Philippines Independence Day. Indepence from who/ what? Spain. The Philippines was colonised by Spain for over 300 yrs and only gained its freedom in 1898. Because we were colonised for such a long time, some things got stuck such as the languange and food. One good example is Polvoron. Whilst the country has made its own version of Polvoron, we wouldn't have picked this one up without the Spanish influence.

So to celebrate this day, all items are discounted until midnight tonight. Use the code "KALAYAAN" during checkout!

Happy Anniversary!

Here's the latest polvoron box that went out this week and it came with a card! This is a handmade foiled card that I made specially for the recipient. (shame you can see the foil effect on the card) My client got in touch with me directly and eventually ended up chatting. Since I was feeling generous and still in out anniversary month, I offered to make the card for free! 🥰

P. S. I'm sorry I've been quiet on social media. Too many things going on and I've taken a conscious decision to take a little step back for my sanity and physical health. All OK on my end though, just needed a breather before a burnout.
