With the man himself, Efthymios Apostolidis. Together with his sister Vasiliki, they're the third generation behind Ktima Apostolidi.

Greece is becoming such an exciting place for w**e, and it's people like these two who make it all the more interesting. Organic and biodynamic w**es of remarkable purity, modern in style, generous, expressive and full of character. And our customers absolutely love them!

Their Vidiano is a bit of a star at W**e Curators. Honeyed yet wonderfully fresh, with ripe apricot, pink grapefruit and that lovely scent of a dry meadow in the summer sun. Generous, textured, but never heavy. And then there's their Assyrtiko. Zippy, ultra fresh, beautifully salty...oh, boy.

Lovely people, genuinely great w**es and another reminder of just how much there is to discover when you venture a little off the beaten path.

Real people behind real w**es. And we're delighted to share them with you here in West Lancs.

With Roberto Di Filippo, the w**emaker behind La Sapata, or Crama Delta Dunării, in Romania.

From the picturesque landscapes of the Danube Delta come some genuinely stunning w**es, made organically and with minimal intervention.

Their Aligoté has become one of the heroes of our w**e shop and bar. Think Chablis-like cleanliness but from an unexpected corner of Romania. Precise, generous fruit, lovely minerality and that alluring petrichor aroma. Absolutely stunning.

And then there's his skin contact Fetească Regală. Mesmerising honey colour, ripe, generous and beautifully textured, yet wonderfully fresh. Just delicious.

Lovely people, beautiful places off the beaten path and genuinely great w**es. Exactly what we're all about.

W**e & Pizzaaaaaaaaa on Friday 9 & 23 October
5pm to 9pm. DM to reserve. The last two sold out pretty quickly, so get in there.

Two Cents Pizza on the ovens, amazing pizzas coming out all evening, and plenty of great w**es by the glass or bottle, curated to go beautifully with the toppings.

Long tables, good people, juicy w**e, ridiculously good pizza and that lovely Friday night buzz. Are you in?

The Road Less Travelled: Romania & Moldova

There’s something about autumn that always takes me back to Romania. Not because home is somewhere else. This is home now, but that’s home too.

It’s the flavours, the smells, the long tables, food being passed around, bottles being opened, and evenings that somehow carry on much longer than planned.

So this October, I’m bringing a little of that to W**e Curators.

Five w**es from Romania and Moldova, exploring indigenous grapes, brilliant producers and places still very much on the road less travelled.

We’ll taste them around our long tables, with British cheeses and charcuterie, fresh Lagom breads and all the usual bits alongside.

Cosy, generous, autumnal.

October at W**e Curators. Autumn is settling in, and so are we.
A little change of rhythm this month, with more reasons to gather around the long table.

Thursdays are for w**e tastings. Two dates, one theme. This month, we’re taking the road less travelled through Romania & Moldova. Five w**es, British cheese & charcuterie and plenty of stories along the way.

Fridays are for food & w**e. Two Cents are back with their incredible pizzas on the 9th & 23rd, alongside a specially curated w**e list. Our first two nights were packed, so DM us to reserve your table.

Saturdays are my favourite. Our sommelier-hosted W**e & Cheese Bar, with 20+ w**es by the glass, plenty rotating every week, British cheese & charcuterie and Portuguese fish conservas. Come with questions, discover something unexpected or let me take you on your own little w**e adventure.

And there might just be a few more surprises along the way.
Good bottles, long evenings and proper hospitality, always included.
