A heavenly unplanned surprise! Our beautiful Belle has given birth today to a gorgeous bull calf! She’s younger than we would normally have them in calf but it turns out one of the castrated males she was with last year still had one sneaky testicle so managed to sire this fluffy bundle of joy! Belle is doing brilliantly and gave birth easily to this little fella 💙🐮⭐️

We get asked a lot why the cattle are tethered during the experiences, is it to force them to take part? No the only reason they’re tethered is because the ones at the top of the pecking order will chase away (sometimes quite forcefully with their horns) the ones below them over food and attention so it makes it safer so no one gets in the way of them chasing each other away and it’s a much more enjoyable experience for those lower in the pecking order who otherwise wouldn’t get to enjoy the food and fuss! As you can see our beautiful Summer here isn’t tethered and is very happily loving a pre session spruce up brush, they will often choose brushing over food stopping eating and standing still with looks of utter joy on their faces enjoying the brush then resuming eating when the brushing is over 🥰🐮
