Peace upon you all!
Please join us this Saturday 28th October at 2pm for the 'Children's Solidarity Peace Walk'
We have seen the horrific atrocities committed against children in this conflict and hope this symbolic walk will reach the hearts of people who are otherwise unaware.
Bring your prayers and words of support for our brothers and sisters in humanity and show the world that we the people of Burton stand by them.
ALL RELIGIOUS AND NON RELIGIOUS GROUPS WELCOME,
PLEASE BRING YOUR FAMILIES AND YOUR HUMANITY
CHILDREN WILL BE HOLDING RED BALLOONS AND WEARING BANDAGES TO SYMBOLISE THE HUMAN COST OF WAR AND A WAY OF SILIENT PROTEST AGAINST THOSE WHO JUSTIFY WAR AND VIOLENCE
We encourage children and young people to wear bandages for the purpose of a visual silent protest and raising awareness of the plight of Palestinian children, we will provide red balloons and stickers and labels with messages to stick onto their clothing if they wish.
We would also like children to come forward to speak up about how they feel be it through poetry or spoken word
Our aim is to change wider public perception who are silent on the unfolding humanitarian situation
We would encourage all to post this event to their wider networks so that it helps to prevent further escalation and being dragged into another war based on lies and false narratives
