Suffolk Market Events Suffolk Market Events delivers award winning Farmers' Markets, Craft Markets & The Taste of East Anglia Food & Drink Festival

Our Farmers Markets include Lavenham which has recently been named as the Best Farmers Market in the UK. We also run top quality, FRA accredited farmers markets in Bury St Edmund's, Sudbury and Colchester. Our Artisan Markets take place in Ipswich, Coggeshall, Colchester and Clare. Suffolk Market Events also owns and runs The Taste of East Anglia, an annual Food & Drink Festival held in the grounds of Kentwell Hall in Long Melford.

We’ve got some great new crafters and makers joining us at our Clare Craft Market on October 24th including laburnumwoodturning

Alistair creates functional and decorative art from wood that has been given a second chance.
For him, woodturning is about more than just making bowls and kitchenware; it’s about honouring the life of the tree. By partnering with local arborists, he sources native timber directly from waste streams as well as from industrial and furniture reclamation, to create a beautiful range of products.

Every item tells a story, and he takes great care to transform these rescued materials into exceptional-quality pieces designed to be used, loved, and appreciated every day.

Come and Meet the Maker on Saturday October 24th in Clare Town Hall from 10am
Entry is free of charge.

At Lavenham Farmers Market on October 25th, we are partnering with Indi's Artisan Products to bring a very special Cheese, Butter & W**e Tasting event to the farmers market.

You'll be able to meet Julie Cheyney, renowned cheesemaker, who will take you through her range of award winning, Suffolk, raw milk cheeses including St Jude. These will paired with a selection of Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Chardonnay and Sparkling W**e, all produced by two premium, local vineyards - ARK and Shotley.

It will also be one of the first chances to taste the incredible new Hawthorne Artisan Butter - definitely an opportunity not to be missed.

There will be plenty of tasters of all the products plus you can enjoy w**e by the glass too.

This event will be held inside the village hall and will roll throughout the morning so please feel free to come inside and join the talks whenever you please.

Entry is free of charge and no ticket is required.
Sorry, dogs are not allowed inside the hall.

We are back in Bury St Edmund's on Sunday October 11th and it's definately Pumpkin time!

Over forty of your favourite stallholders will be packing The Traverse selling a gorgeous selection of local food, drink and crafts.

Lots of the favourites will be with us including Aunty Ree’s Cookies, Brooks And Conquest, Sunshine and Green, Moat Farm Apples, Fenflora Flowers, Number Eighteen Honey, Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese and The Pies & Tarts.

For those very organised customers, some early Christmas shopping is a breeze with stalls from Hare Cottage Crafts , Infused with Kindness UK, Fibre & Earth Studios and Duck Egg Designs.

Brunch and lunch options include the best NYC style stuffed bagels from Beats & Beigels, delicious pasta dishes from Mamma's Italianstreetfood, Tasty Gyoza and the The Creperie Shack and we have a very exciting new stall joining us from Indi's Artisan Goods selling St Jude Cheese, Hawthorne Butter and Sunday Charcuterie.

It really is looking like a very special October Farmers Market in Bury St Edmunds - make sure you come and be a part of it.
The market starts at 10am and runs until 3pm and street parking in Bury St Edmunds is free on a Sunday until 1pm.

We recently spent a gorgeous couple of hours at Ark W**es enjoying a delicious glass of w**e amongst the vines, nestled in beautiful Suffolk countryside near Stansted and Long Melford.
Their incredibly cool bar/ restaurant is stunning - you can tell there’s a Swedish brain behind this conversion! It is uber cool with a proper chill vibe. And the w**e is bloody lovely too!
It’s not open regularly (I wish it was) so check out Ark W**es and Jord Projects to see when their next Pop Up is taking place and get yourself along there.
In the meantime you can taste their w**es every month at Bury St Edmund’s Farmers Market when you’ll find their stall on The Traverse in the centre of town. The next one is this Sunday, October 11th so what you waiting for?!

Our second Clare Craft Market of 2026 opens on October 24th inside Clare Town Hall and, as always, entry is totally free of charge and no ticket is required.

You’ll meet a truly wonderful selection of the most talented makers and artists from across our region selling a range of handmade products including ceramics, metal and wood work, wax melts, original artwork, jewellery, homewares, block printed goods, candles and natural skincare.

Our Pop Up Cafe will be open too so expect the very best freshly baked cakes, sausage rolls, cheese toasties and delicious scones alongside Barista Coffee and the best Hot Choccie!

It’s going to be another lovely sunny October day on Saturday and we’ll be back outside the Mercury Theatre Colchester with our gorgeous Colchester Farmers Market where you’ll be able to enjoy shopping from over thirty fantastic stalls.

It’s time for Autumn flavours to shine and the David Nolan will be piled high with ‘cosy suppers.’ Lauriston Farm and alderdale will have delicious root veg and visit Tim & Sophie's Farm for grass fed local beef and pork.

These stunning flowers are grown by Caroline Caroline Hunt | Flower Farmer & Florist just down the road in Lawford and every year, as the seasons change and we head into October, we know that the end of her stunning dahlias is near, until next year.
