Currently on offer at only £9.99 Henners Gardner Street Classic Bacchus Chardonnay has the classic floral, elderflower note we have come to know of contemporary Bacchus married with a touch of stone fruit from the Chardonnay. On the palate there’s an abundance of red apple fruit, a touch of wild fennel with the barrel fermented Chardonnay giving mid palate weight and structure to a wine that ultimately finishes with a brisk, present.

Holy cow, it’s hot out there! Why not cool down with a glass of crisp chilled white wine?

Here are two Italian corkers from the fantastic winemakers Villa Raino - Greco Di Tufo and Falanghina.

The Greco Di Tufo (£19.99) has delicate aromas of white flower and annis with lime citrus notes. Crisp, zesty green apple fruit on the palate with notes of greengage. Pithy and mineral, with a mouth-watering saline bite.

The Falanghina (£17.99) has ripe citrus and stone fruit aromas with lightly herbal notesand a taut mineral palate with rounded, gently honeyed fruit and a crisp, spicy finish.

*NEW VALPOLICELLA*

ILatium Morini Valpolicella - The seven brothers and cousins involved in ILatium Morini changed their approach in 2004, when they decided to keep the best grapes from their vineyards to make wine themselves.

Since then, a torrent of accolades, including glowing reviews from Jancis Robinson, would suggest that they made the right decision. Now at the forefront of the ‘new wave’ of Soave, Valpolicella and Amarone production, their wines combine beautiful fruit concentration with fresh, bright acidity.

The grapes are picked during from the third week of September to the first ten days of October, destemmed and then pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature for 10/15 days, with pumping over and delestage. Refinement takes place in stainless steel vats.

ILatium Morini, Valpolicella wine is a lovely ruby colour with a powerful and aromatic nose of cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruits. Soft warm and dry in the mouth with elegant and harmonious tannin. Enjoy with Salami, Semi Aged Cheeses, Pasta and Risotto.

Woah! Have we got something extra special for you!!!!

Vallet Freres Beaune Les Epenottes AOP Beaune -

The grapes are grown according to sustainable viticulture with Guyot pruning. The bunches are harvested by hand and then transported to the winery where they are sorted, with some de-stemming (maximum 25%), then fermented using native yeasts in open wooden vats along with the whole bunches. The grapes are crushed and pumped over daily. Traditionally long, the fermentation takes around twenty days after which the wine is transferred to oak barrels and aged for 16 to 20 months on fine lees.

Vallet Frères Beaune Les Epenottes wine is a charming and fresh Pinot Noir from the picturesque slopes above the Côte de Beaune. Notes of morello cherry, raspberry and a touch of blackcurrant and liquorice on the nose. The palate is firm and fresh in youth and will continue to evolve beautifully. Pair with vegetable gratin or pork loin. Also lovely with mild fresh cheeses such as Savarin or Epoisses.

Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer are co-fermented to make a wine that’s fun, bright, and bouncy.

Bazar Pinot Noir Gewurztraminer wine has red cherry notes from the Pinot Noir met with lychee and tropic fruit in the Gewurztraminer to create a flavour that’s both charming and enjoyable. Juicy and aromatic with refreshing acidity. Even more enjoyable lightly chilled, this wine pair perfectly with Asian dishes like sticky plum duck or a fragrant Thai curry. It also shines alongside creamy salmon risotto.
