It is with deep sadness that we share that Lomas Foods Limited will cease trading and enter administration on Saturday 25th July.

This business began in 1981 with Maurice Lomas — a man with a vision, a work ethic, and a love for serving people. With the support of his three sons, Mark, Chris and Jon, that vision grew into a family business that has stood proudly on Spring Gardens, Buxton for over 35 years.

We have poured our lives into this shop. It has been more than a business — it has been part of the community, part of our family story, and part of the daily lives of so many wonderful customers. Closing our doors is incredibly painful, but rising costs and falling footfall have left us with no other choice.

To every customer, past and present: thank you. Your loyalty, your conversations, your support over the decades have meant more than you will ever know.

And to our four incredible members of staff — Janet, Paula, Anne and Peter — we cannot express enough gratitude. Your dedication, kindness, and hard work have been the backbone of Lomas Foods. You have been with us through the highs and lows, and we are forever grateful.

From Lomas Foods
After 13 Years of serving our Community, we want to let you know that our non-food shop will be Closing at the end of February.
We're incredibly grateful for your support, loyalty and custom over the years.
It's been a pleasure to serve you, and we can't Thank You enough for being part of our Journey.
The Food Shop will continue as Normal, and we'll be amalgamating some of the non-food stock into the Main Food Store, so you'll still find a selection available there.
We also want to reassure everyone that our New Mills Market stall will continue to operate every Friday as Normal.
