Blue Peris Outdoor Education Centre ( Formerly Mountain Centre ) is a 67 bedroom residential outdoor centre. We work with a wide range of clients which include primary and secondary schools, universities, cadets, scouts, college students and families. We have been in operation for over 35 years and hold a AALA licence, Learning Outside the Quality Badge Award and Gold Standard Badge. These awards

not only demonstrate our commitment to outdoor learning but also quality and customer care. Our aim is to provide exciting, structured, and adventurous programmes which link to the National Curriculum as required. In addition to this, we strive to give students a sense of belonging and create environments where they can reach their potential. We can provide day and multi day courses, and residential courses. In addition to this we offer a 13 bedroom self catering facility. We are also a major provider of the Summer Mountain Leader Award offering both training and assessment courses alongside delivering the Hill and Moorland Award.

What a team 👌We have not posted of late, as on 31st October Blue Peris closed for good 😢. Its been a few months of mixed emotions and sadness 😢. We are all still shocked and cannot really take it all in. This photo was taken on the last day and we needed to say bye with the smiling faces all our customers have become accustomed to over the years. 👏💯 Blue Peris has been blessed with many awesome staff over the years and its these staff that made the centre what is was. Blue Peris only employed staff who were committed to the cause of outdoor learning and who totally valued what Blue Peris was all about. We thank all these ace staff over the years and cannot really express out gratitude enough for what you contributed. There are a group of staff who have given so much over the last 10 years and who have gone above and beyond. Why ?? because it results in a unique and amazing opportunity for the young people that visted the centre.

Its not just school pupils, we work with other great organisations, one being Crosby Management Training a leading apprentice training company covering a range of industries. 9 wonderful years of working together this year, along the way, extending their customer beliefs in what they can achieve combined with skill development towards their various apprentice levels and having lots of good fun along the way. Thanks to the Crosby support staff who have made these courses so successful. Its been a pleasure working with you.

A world out the classroom which allows and promotes, trust, teamwork, education, history, geography, science, friendships, memories and good Fun. A world which pupils Cannot get any where local to Bedford only in North Wales does the full day underground experience exists in UK . Not sure this is how we would make our bed 😂 But hey, you got to have some fun whilst at Blue Peris 😂. Another new group arrived today and one part of centre life is bed making. For many, its the first time they have ever put a quilt cover and pillow case on 😮How many outdoor education centres still have bed making ?
