Hello, September 👋

The bank holiday is behind us, the summer holidays are coming to an end, and it’s almost time to remember what day of the week it is again. 😅

School bags are being packed, alarms are being set, and work routines are making a comeback… which means breakfasts on the go, packed lunches and a lot of sandwiches are about to return too. 🥪🧈

Sometimes, simple is best, and the Great Taste judges agree. ⭐🧈

And you can’t go far wrong with a proper bacon and egg breakfast roll, especially when there’s butter involved.

Crispy bacon, a perfectly fried egg and a warm, toasted roll, finished with a generous helping of Castle Dairies Halen Môn Salted Butter, hand salted with Anglesey sea salt for that deliciously rich, salty finish.

From early starts and busy production days to the people behind every pack, there’s a lot that goes into running a dairy that you might never see from the outside.

We’re incredibly proud to share our results from the Great Taste Awards 2026, with four Castle Dairies products receiving Great Taste stars!

⭐️⭐️ 2 Stars – Halen Môn Sea Salt Butter Block

Since 1966, Castle Dairies has been doing things our way, making proper butter with a focus on quality, flavour and traditional butter-making expertise.

Sixty years later, we’re still an independent, third-generation family dairy, still passionate about the products we make and still proud to put the Castle Dairies name on every pack.

Our Traditional Salted Butter is made using 100% British cream, bringing that rich, creamy, proper buttery taste to everything from hot toast and sandwiches to home baking and cooking.

60 years of butter making, but this is still a first for us… 🧈✈️

Three members of our team, Lou, Terry and Gareth, recently swapped the dairy for the skies to take on an incredible wing walk in support of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE).

Dressed head-to-toe in their Castle Dairies jumpsuits, they climbed onto the wings of a 1940s biplane and took to the skies above the Gloucestershire countryside, travelling at speeds of up to 140mph at 800ft in the air. Not your average day at the office! 😳

As a long-time supporter of DofE, Castle Dairies is proud to support the fantastic work they do to give young people opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills and take on challenges that push them outside their comfort zones.

A massive well done to Lou, Terry and Gareth for representing Castle Dairies at 800ft, we're not sure our logo has ever travelled quite like this before. 👏✈️🧈

We're already missing another fantastic few days at the Royal Welsh Show!

It was brilliant to catch up with so many familiar faces, meet new customers, chat all things butter and showcase what Castle Dairies is all about. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, sampled our butter, entered our competition and made the week so memorable.

Looking back, we're also incredibly proud of our results from this year's Royal Welsh Show Dairy Produce Awards:
