Three generations. Still independent. 🧈

Since 1966, Castle Dairies has remained a family-run dairy, proudly independent and committed to doing things the right way.

Over nearly six decades, we've grown, evolved and welcomed a new generation into the business, but our values haven't changed. We still believe in quality ingredients, traditional butter-making expertise and producing butter we're proud to put our name on.

Today, Castle Dairies is led by the third generation of the Lloyd family, continuing a legacy built on hard work, independence and a passion for proper butter.

In a world of big corporations and global brands, we're proud to still be an independent family dairy.

Proper butter. Made the right way.

Supporting British farmers starts with the choices we make every day 🐄🇬🇧🧈

At Castle Dairies, our butter is made using 100% British cream, helping to support dairy farmers and rural communities across the UK while delivering the rich flavour and quality our customers expect.

As an independent family dairy, we've been working with British milk and cream for generations, because we believe great butter starts with great ingredients.

When you choose Castle Dairies, you're not just choosing quality butter for your kitchen, you're backing British dairy, British farming and the people behind it.

Still doing it properly since 1966.

That’s a wrap on Hay Festival 2026 🧈📚✨

What a fantastic couple of weeks it’s been.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Castle Dairies stand, sampled our butter on Welsh cakes, picked up some of our products and took advantage of our festival offers. It was a pleasure meeting so many new faces and catching up with loyal customers who have been supporting us for years.

From busy days at the stand to sponsoring Prue Leith's talk, this year's festival was one to remember. We loved sharing our passion for proper butter and hearing your stories, recipes and favourite ways to enjoy Castle Dairies at home.

As a third-generation family dairy, opportunities like this remind us why we do what we do, bringing people together through great food and quality ingredients.

Thank you, Hay Festival, and thank you to everyone who came to see us. Until next time 👋🧈

Spreadable or block? 🧈👀

The debate continues...

Are you Team Spreadable, ready to spread straight from the fridge? Or Team Block, loyal to the classic butter pack?

Whether you're topping toast, finishing a recipe, baking a cake or buttering a crumpet, everyone has their favourite.

At Castle Dairies, both are made with the same commitment to quality, using British cream and generations of butter-making experience. The only question is...

Which side are you on?
