A final selection of clips from the Owlets of 2025. They are now moving around the barn and the parents are working hard to keep up the food delivery rate! They will be glad when the youngsters start hunting for themselves.

Owlet update - a collection of video snips from last night - there were a LOT of feeding runs by the adults through the early hours. Have the sound on when you listen - it's not a pretty noise, but a very distinctive one! In the last clip, the youngster who didn't get the feed seems very unhappy!!
Most of their fluff feathers have now gone so won't be long before we start finding them moving around the barn to test those wings.

Two owlets showed themselves overnight - stretching and flapping wings to build up those muscles. You can still see the 'fluffy down' on the chest of the flapper - they've got a bit of growing and feathering-up to do before they are ready to venture out. It is possible that another may emerge but it is good to see these two looking so well in what has apparently been a tough year for owls.
