๐ AGM weekend kicks off 40th anniversary celebrations for National Hereford Club ๐
With the Club's 40th Show celebrations bringing an extra buzz to proceedings this year, the 2026 National Hereford Club AGM weekend saw a bumper turnout of members across both days. Visiting the Boycefield herd of James Lewis at Dilwyn on Saturday 6 June, followed by the Adzor herd of David Makin at Wellington on Sunday 7 June, Club members and friends had the privilege of viewing some outstanding groups of cattle, and were treated to excellent hospitality along the way.
At the Club's Annual General Meeting held in Dilwyn on 6 June, members elected Clive Davies of the Westwood herd as their President for the coming year. A mainstay of the Hereford breed, Clive is well-known to many for his encyclopedic study and knowledge of Hereford cattle, and we are delighted to see him in the role for 2026/27.
Newton Court in Leominster was the venue for an extra-special evening of celebration following the meeting and first herd visit, where members gathered for dinner and a National Hereford Show-themed quiz, ably hosted by Laura Vincent. Speeches were given by Club Chairman Tony Bradstock and original 1983 member Michael Hammon, and Laura Bradstock organised a host of raffle prizes, plus the auctioning of a superb original artwork kindly donated by Lucinda Lewis.
Thanks are due to all who helped organise and provide hospitality for the event, and to everyone who travelled to join in and make it a weekend to remember! The next Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held on Saturday 5 June 2027.
