Holy cow, what a find! 🍲👇

​After trying hotpot where ingredients are cooked in the kitchen for you, I caught wind of Tripot on Quayside - offering a dedicated hotpot built right into every table so you can cook everything yourself there and then!

​Here is how it went:
​🧋 Fresh Milk Tea: £5.80 felt steep at first, but you can fully customise options like sweetness levels. The Chinese Earl Grey Milk Tea at 30% sweetness was wonderfully creamy and delicious.

​📋 The Setup: You tick your choices on a menu with clear descriptions of well-sourced ingredients like 35-day dry-aged beef and high-welfare lamb. The staff are amazingly patient if you are new to table-side cooking, and the menu even tells you exactly how many seconds or minutes each item needs!

​🔥 The Broth: Unsurprisingly, I went for the spicy broth - a thick, molten-lava oil swimming with red-hot chillies. Pro tip: do NOT wear a white t-shirt.

​🥩 The Food: The tea-infused beef was shredded and fused into one big lump when I cooked it, but when an amateur is in charge of the cooking, things are bound to go wrong! The greens and mushroom selection baskets arrived in charming little baskets, offering a gorgeous variety of Chinese mushrooms.

​💸 The Verdict: At £60 total, it easily feeds two hungry people. With its curated baskets and guided times, it feels like a high-end crash course in hotpot 101 in a stunning setting on Quayside. Perfect for a fun, social meal with friends!
