Green Chapel CCCU Ale

Green Chapel CCCU Ale Green Chapel Ale brough to you by Canterbury Christ Church University, celebrating the cultural heritage of the North Holmes Road campus.

Canterbury Christ Church, the University at the heart of the city, is celebrating its cultural and environmental heritage through projects called 'Edible Campus' and 'Beer, Bread and Honey'. They bring our history to life, enabling stewardship of the natural environment by growing our own food, herbs and hops, keeping bee-hives and baking in our community bread oven. The first tale in this excitin

g project is our very own 'Green Chapel Ale'. Made with fresh, green hops this is a beer with aromas of spicy marmalade and mandarin. The East Kent Golding's hops impart a floral and citrus flavour. The malt adds clean and smooth base notes with a subtle, caramel-like, sweetness. Traditional English ale yeast adds fruity flavours and the use of Kentish chalk filtered water means an outstanding dry, hoppy finish. This ale is the history of Canterbury Christ Church University, Canterbury itself in a bottle.
