Pipeworks! The in Pontyclun, what a bloody place. Great staff, friendly clientele, all the varieties of beer you could ask, and a banging Sunday roast menu.

We’ve been the residents on Sundays here for a while but we’ve just launched our new menu- small-plate-Sunday-roast-tapas-style dishes, hell of a hyphenated compound that. Whether it’s Sunday or not, we’d highly recommend heading for a drink or 9, 12 minutes train from the city centre and you’re more than likely to find a compotator*

*word of the day, google it, feeling wordy today

Desserts will be added soon(think home made sticky toffee pudding and espresso and white chocolate brownies)

And we are back within the borders of Cardiff for one weekend only, stopping over at the lovely to serve not only our signature tapas-style toast dishes but also grilled sandos filled with roast meats and Welsh cider rarebit.

Check out our menu below and pop down Friday from, or Saturday and Sunday from 12. Sunday may involve a full roast special 👀 and let’s not forget about the prestigious canton CRUFTS event(as well as a doggy menu(dog food not dogs as food))

We’ll also be at as per from 12:30 with our brand new menu- watch out for the overdue post about that this time tomorrow! We’ve been a bit quiet on the socials front lately but we are back, watch this space, badda bing badda boom etc etc

Tomorrow we are crackling with our second Sunday roast service . Last week was a banger, thanks for all that turned up!

So whether you’re having a few bevs tonight and are in need of a cure upon surfacing, or you’re out for a nice sunny Sunday afternoon stroll(ignore the forecast, it’s always wrong, there’s no storm, no rain)- then pop by anytime from 12-6:30 and we’ve got you covered.

And we are back, and ready for Easter weekend no less!

We’re heading down the road to the beautiful Pontyclun, where we’ll be teaming up with to provide street-food style roast dinners, from lunchtime into early evening every Sunday.

Dont you worry, all the regular extra trimmings will still be available, it’ll just be a more casual affair! Look out for our menu and serving times in the coming days.

For our Cardiff lot, Pontyclun is just a 12 minute train from Cardiff central, with less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. No bookings required so just rock on up!

Right then you lot. For those of you who haven’t seen our popup yet, here’s a few little snippets.

With tomorrow being the day of the roast, we’re knocking out mini(not so mini) roasts from 12 ‘til 6. Choose from Brisket, Duck or Chicken served up with roasties, braised red cabbage, sweet potato purée, tenderstem and gravy. Add on some tempura pigs in blankets and/or cauli cheese bites, whatever ya like.

Too hanging for the healthy(ish) stuff after watching Wales smash home? No dramas, pull yourself out of bed and guzzle down some loaded roasties with blow-torched rarebit slathered with gravy.

For the veggies/vegans, we’ll be adding to the menu next week with our vegan roast option, apologies for the delay ✌️

We’ll be taking a break for a little bit as and bring a child into the world(swipe to see the low key galactic conqueror of the universe they’re growing).

Hello there partner!

We can't wait to see you all again at TGK!!
