🥐 Cardiff pop-up menu 🥐

The pop-ups are back! After our summer hiatus, we are delighted to be bringing all of our bakes to again tomorrow, and this is what you'll be able to find on our table:

SPECIALS:

- plum & dark chocolate crown: croissant dough filled with chocolate moelleux & plum jam, and topped with chocolate crème pâtissière, all with chocolate of course

- blackberry & Tonka bean nest: croissant dough filled with blackberry jam and Tonka bean creme pâtissière, and topped with oat crumble

- caramelised apples & Chantilly cream danish: croissant dough with slow cooked apples and vanilla whipped cream

OUR USUAL SUSPECTS:

🥐 Septembre specials 🥐

The jury is still out with regards to the name of some of them, but I'm so excited about this month's flavours, especially as we've been sourcing all the fruit as locally as can be!

So this month, we'll have:

- plum & dark chocolate (plums from my friend's garden)
- blackberry & tonka bean (blackberries foraged by our own Emilee!)
- caramelised apples & Chantilly (apples from my own beautiful apple tree)

All 3 will be available at our Pop-up inside Brother Thai this Saturday (as well as all of our classics of course!) so I hope to see lots of you then, and you can tell me which one is your favourite!

Personally, it's the apple one for me ❤️❤️

We're back!

And we've got lots and lots of dates for you in September! Have a look in the pics to see where you can find us:)
I've added more collection dates (from our Cardiff lobby) as requested and there's also a newbie: we're trialing a mini grab n' go every Wednesday from our lobby (starting tomorrow). No need to pre-order, just come and see what's there! We'll start this week with a small amount of stock, but if it's popular, we'll increase it in the future!

And we're starting the month with a collection this Friday (pre-order via the website https://www.astridspetitecuisine.co.uk/products) and of course, a pop-up inside Brother Thai this Saturday 9am-11am. No pre-order for that one, just turn up!

Just a quick recap of what's happening this week as I've changed things compared to when I initially published the July whereabouts :

- Friday : classic pastries in , Blake & Brew and

- Saturday: collection of pre-orders (now sold out) 9.30 to 10.30am from our lobby. NO POP-UP

Unfortunately, no pop-up in Abergavenny either as we're flying to France on Monday and I only have Sunday to pack and get ready! I'm so sorry but I promise all my Ambika Social gang that I'll be back as soon as possible once I'm back 🫶

One last push, I for one can't wait for a break, but I'm excited to bring all of our beautiful pastries to you one last time before the holidays!

🥐 July specials 🥐

They're here! And probably one of the team's favourite flavour combo so far:)

Because it's a short month for us we'll have 2 main specials, but for each pop-up, we'll also be bringing various "spur of the moment extras" to keep things interesting (and empty all our stock before our summer break!)

So this month, we will have:

- Oranais : the Frenchies amongst us will know this one as a typical summer bake which is usually made with regular puff pastry, but this one is of course made with our croissant dough, filled with orange blossom crème pâtissière and topped with a baked apricot. I love this one so much, I'll be living on this for the next 3 weeks!

- Pistachio & cherry danish: cherry and summer go hand in hand of course, we had to bring this one back from last year but with a new shape and improved recipe! So it's a croissant dough filled with pistachio & almond frangipane, our own cherry jam, pistachio crème pâtissière, and topped with fresh cherries. The team can't get enough of this one!

🥐 where to find us in July 🥐

And it's going to be a short month as we're closing for summer from July 20th!
All the dates are in the pictures , and this month, the Cardiff collection will be on a Friday as it seemed to work well for people last week (bar our pastry disaster!).
Unfortunately I'm not 100% sure I can schedule a pop-up in Abergavenny before we close as weekends are very busy with family stuff too, but I'll do my best and I'll post it on here if I manage to squeeze it in!

Tomorrow I'll reveal the July specials and there will also be spur of the moment extras for popups as I'll be trying to use everything we have in our fridges and freezers before we close on the 20th!

Cardiff is getting a bit quiet now that most of the students have left but I hope I'll still see lots of you this month!

Quick PSA

As mentioned in my stories yesterday and due to the disaster that happened to half of our pastries this week, I sadly have to cancel the pop-up tomorrow in Abergavenny with Ambika Social as I don't have enough stock for it (naughty heat) :(

I will try to reschedule this as soon as possible but with only 3 weeks left until we go to France for the summer, I don't know if it's going to be possible! I'm going to do my best though!

So sorry about this, and hopefully see you soon ❤️

🥐 3 Cardiff collections this coming week: FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY🥐

Not just 1, not just 2, but 3 chances to preorder and collect your bakes directly from our lobby! Since we exceptionally don't have a class on Friday, I thought I'd treat you all to an extra collection day. And because I'm prepping for the Abergavenny pop-up on Sunday, what the heck, I threw in another collection that day too! And of course, there will be our regular collection on Saturday in lieu of our pop-up.

So I've now updated the website with all the stock available, and since it was such a hit at our last pop-up, I've also added our summer fruit croissant to the selection this week;)

A couple of things to note:

- the minimum order is now £10 - this is due to higher bank fees when payments are made online

- at checkout, you will have to choose which day you will want it for. It will default to the first day available (Friday) so you'll have to edit this if you want it on Saturday or Sunday. I have added a screenshot of this in the carousel for reference. Please note I won't rearrange collections that weren't requested for the correct day so please make sure it matches what you want!

- Friday 26th June - pick up will be 9am-10am
- Saturday 27th June - pick up will be 9am-10am
- Sunday 28th June - pick up will be 9.30am-10am

This is the first time I'm doing collections back to back so I had to take a stab in the dark regarding stock, which means I might top up some items if I see they sell out quickly on a particular day, but aim to have your preorder in by Tuesday lunchtime please as I will need to know how much dough to make pretty early in the week!

Hope it all makes sense (and I hope the website works as it's the first time I've set it up for 3 collections!) but any issues give me a shout;)
