Following his recent visit to Food Matters Live, our Development Innovation Manager, Ross, sat down to share a behind-the-scenes look at the creativity and craft behind our products.

For Ross, the best part of making a cake is the magic of creating something that brings people together.

But turning a creative spark into a supermarket staple takes a lot of teamwork.

At Finsbury Food Group, we believe big sustainability goals are achieved through a mix of global standards and local, hands-on action.

Across our sites, we are working hard every day to achieve our long-term targets:

🍏 Halving our food waste by 2030 alongside partners like FareShare.
🫶 Sourcing 100% RSPO-certified sustainable palm oil.
♻️ Working toward 100% recyclable or compostable packaging.

But sustainability also means looking after our local environment!

Our Operational Site Lead, John McArthur has been helping us tend and maintain our very own on-site beehives at Lightbody Hamilton. 🐝🍯

While we expected to wait for the hives to establish, we were thrilled to extract a surprise 36 jars of honey earlier this year, which were shared as a small thank-you gift with our Operating Board and site team members.

We are expecting a bumper yield of honey later this year, and we look forward to continuing to gift it to our teams as our hives grow stronger!
