After a lot of deliberation, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of Frank & Otis Brewing Co. for good.
Running a brewery has been an incredible journey, but it’s also come with more challenges than we ever expected. Despite those challenges, we’re incredibly proud of what we built and, most importantly, grateful for the people who helped make it happen.
When Rob and Steve started F&O in 2019, they had little idea what they were getting themselves into. What began as an idea became a brand, a community and a brewery we could genuinely be proud of.
When Christian took over from Steve, we were lucky enough to grow the business further, getting our b**rs into bars across the city and taking part in countless tap takeovers. It’s been an absolute blast and one hell of an education.
A huge thank you to Steph, who helped get us brewing in house and set the standard from the start.
To Lewis, who has been with us throughout and took on far more than he ever signed up for, we couldn’t have done it without you. Best of luck with your new adventure in Canada.
And to Dom, our brilliant artist, whose work helped create the F&O identity. Without you, Frank & Otis simply wouldn’t have been what it was.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who ever bought our b**r, came to an event, recommended us, shared a post or supported us in any way. We’ve met some brilliant people, made great friends and created memories we’ll always cherish.
We’re not sad that Frank & Otis is ending. We’re genuinely happy that it existed.
We gave it a go. We built something, we left our mark, and we have plenty of great memories to take with us.
And, of course, we’ll never forget why Frank & Otis started in the first place, as a tribute to Steve’s late brother, Ben, and as an outlet during an incredibly difficult time. We know he’d be proud of what we achieved.
Now it’s time to close the doors and walk away.
The next few weeks will inevitably involve chasing up some unpaid invoices, so if you owe us money, now would be a very good time to settle up! 😂
