A safari themed cake made for a little boy celebrating his 2nd birthday.

The cake was made with a vanilla sponge, filled with strawberry jam and covered in my Madagascan vanilla buttercream.

I loved bringing this design together, from the safari animals to the tropical foliage, gold palm leaves and the mix of sage, emerald, ivory and gold details.

“Born to Be Wild” created to be fun but with some elegance bought into it.

✈️🌍 FROM AI IMAGE TO EDIBLE REALITY! 🚢🎂

This one really did test my skills, but I’m so pleased with how it came together!

My customer came to me with an AI generated cake design and asked, “Can you make this into a real cake and can everything be edible?”

Challenge accepted! 🙌

Hours and quite literally days of work went into bringing the image to life. From the huge globe and its gold continents, to the destinations and flags, the ocean waves and all the tiny details, I tried to recreate the original AI concept as closely as possible.

And yes, even the British Airways aeroplane and cruise ship are edible!

The cake was created to celebrate Gareth’s 50th birthday, incorporating his love of travelling and cruising, with some of his destinations represented around the globe. 🌍

The black and gold base gives the cake a dramatic finish, while the bright blue piped ocean surrounds the globe and cruise ship. And, of course, the centrepiece had to be that enormous edible globe with an aeroplane flying overhead!

This was one of those cakes where I looked at the original design and wondered whether I could actually pull it off. It pushed me outside my comfort zone, tested my capabilities and involved a LOT of patience, but seeing the finished cake made all those hours worthwhile.

AI generated the idea, Marcnificent Bakes brought it to life in cake! 🎂

Elegant handmade shortbread biscuits finished with beautiful ivory icing and personalised with the couple’s initials and wedding date. Simple, sophisticated and made especially for the occasion.
