So exciting! A first for us, certainly in recent history!

An 04.45 alarm call to load sheep in the pouring rain. Flooded yards didn’t help and the sheep literally had be loaded onto the trailer one at a time. Up to market, unload, pen the sheep and back to the farm by 08.30 ready for the day jobs!

The day ended with pregnancy testing for the cows. Long but productive day!

A sneaky little trip to buy a stunning Cheviot ram!

Emergency picnic in the truck on our way home! Can’t beat chip shop chips, battered sausage, and curry sauce!

Late arrival home and introduced to one of our lovely ladies to settle in for the night!

Life is better with sheep!

A very early start today for the National Sheep Association Wales & Border Ram Sale in Builth Wells.

A great family day out, luckily only selling today and no buying! A win….an empty trailer coming home. And the sausage baguettes were a definite life saver mid morning!

The tup taxi at the of the sale always makes us smile.

Cuddle a cow day!

Another busy weekend with Saturday being a non stop day of moving, health checking, and sorting sheep!

Some were easier than others, being in fields close to the yard, however, some not so! These required our makeshift mobile healthcare centre - aka the stock box.

146 sheep in 3 different batches were moved to fresh ground, given a complete health check, mineral boosts, and more to ensure they’re in tip top condition.

It was all hands on deck and we were lucky to have the help of Efan for the day!

Some days are happy and some days are sad. Today was a very sad day as we said goodbye to one of our very special pups! Mopsy was a much loved family pet. Having nearly died at 2 weeks old, Georgia nursed and cared for her 24/7 and despite all the odds she survived. Today’s was very unexpected but we have given her 8 happy years.

Sleep tight Mopsy 🥲

So this weekend saw the opening of the Ty Du beauty salon! Whilst there was plenty of room in the waiting area, they seem apprehensive and bunched up together!

Lewis and I then gave each of them the sheep version of a pedicure!

Afterwards they chilled in relaxation area!
