Roasting Coffee with Light / NIR ☀️

Join us for a short workshop and presentation on the Rubasse NIR Coffee Roaster, a machine that asks a bold question: what if coffee could be roasted with light?

At its core is Near Infrared (NIR) roasting, where energy is delivered directly into the beans. This approach is not only fast and precise, but has also been rated in studies as the most energy-efficient roasting method.

The Rubasse takes it further by blending:
🌪️ Convection – airflow for consistency
🔥 Conduction – traditional heat for depth

Together, these create a hybrid system that’s efficient, versatile, and capable of unlocking flavour in new ways.
