It’s October and the garden is still GIVING! What a treat it is to still be able to pop out and pick such a harvest. Boxes might be finished for this year but clearly the garden didn’t get the memo! Oh well, lots of pasta sauce and apple crumbles coming up 😋

Every year I forget how ridiculously productive tomatoes are and every year I plant more! 😂

But just look at all of these colourful little gems! How can you not love them?! These will be in your last box of the season this week and I’m off to put some in a sandwich right now. That is if I can find my way out of this jungle of a polytunnel I’ve created… 😬🫣🍅

There’s just something about a late August evening in the garden. ☀️

The beds are bursting, the plants are going wild but there’s a little hint of Autumn starting to creep in and the air has a slightly cooler breeze to it.

There’s still so much growing out here, rows and rows of beautiful veg so I’m planning on spending as much time as I can out here enjoying it before the season starts to turn once again 🍂

The leafy greens are coping surprisingly well with the heat and they are one of my favourite things to add to your boxes.

This Rainbow Chard and Kale are such powerhouses of vitamins so make sure to eat your greens guys! 🥬 💚

I have been known to only choose varieties of veg based solely on their name alone and as I am an October baby, this ‘Dark Opal’ (my birthstone) Basil did not disappoint! Just look at those lush dark leaves and the smell is just incredible!

Some leaves will be added in to your boxes this week so make sure to let me know what you think! 💜

Little purple jewels are on the way 💜

The tomatoes have been loving this heat we’ve been having recently and I can’t wait to try this Indigo variety I have trialled this year. It truly is the best season! 🍅

I swear if selling tomato side shoots was a thing I would be a millionaire in about a week. Cutting them off is basically a full time job! 😆

I have left a few to do their thing this year just to see the difference but it is utter chaos already!

Does everyone trim their side shoots or just let them go wild? 🍅
