Please be careful walking through cow fields while out and about.

Evening all members of CAA

You all should have received a letter regarding CAA using the Clubmate app for storing all member details, permits, joining, re-joining etc.

It stated in the letter we need everyone’s Name, Address, DoB, email and phone number emailed over to our club secretary at [email protected]

About half of our members have done this, we need the other half to in order to get things moved over.

Thanks all

GIANT HOGWEED

Highly Toxic causing severe blistering.

This plant has shot up quick unnoticed on Johnny Bulldogs.
Our team will poison the plant when the weather permits.
Please keep yourselves, children, pets etc away from it until it’s removed.

Gentle Reminder.
With the nicer weather here, our club gets a lot of people on the bank.
Our Bailliffs have to deal with a massive amount of litter getting left, be it empty beer cans, old bbq’s.
No fires on the riverbank allowed at all.
Also in accordance to club and environment agency rules there is no maggots/swim feeders or worms (juveniles are allowed to fish a single worm) allowed until after June 15 when the course fishing season opens again.

And of course the usual No Ticket Brigade!!
Everybody needs a permit to fish!!
Available from Carlisle Tourist Information Centre.

Get out, enjoy yourselves, stay safe, be happy!!

Our bailiffs are coming across a lot of anglers spinning/lure fishing for trout.
There is no spinning for Brown Trout allowed on the association full stop.
States this on the trout permit, in our paper rule book and in the rules on our website.

Carlisle Angling Association Permits for kids are free!!! 😎
BUT!!! 😱
They need to get one of our permits from the tourist information centre in Carlisle town centre to be able to fish and need to carry it with them while out by the river.
The Association loves to see young anglers out fishing but far too many dont have a permit.
The last thing our bailiffs want to be doing is telling children they can’t fish 😢
