💙 This Father’s Day, support the dads holding it all together. 💙
For many dads on the neonatal unit, days don’t stop when work ends. They rush from meetings, building sites, offices or night shifts - straight to the hospital to sit beside their baby.
When a baby is in neonatal care, dads are often holding a lot at once. They’re worrying about their baby, about their partner’s recovery, and about how to be there for both - all while trying to keep everyday life going.
“A million things were rushing through my head, but I couldn’t ask a single question. I was just trying to keep it together - for her, for our baby - while everything felt completely overwhelming.” – Graeme wrote in his Dad’s Diary which he kindly shared with us
💫 A £10 could help to break down the barriers that make this time even harder.
Tiny Lives offers practical and emotional support to help dads stay present when it matters most, because behind the strength, many dads are trying to cope with overwhelming emotions while holding everything together.
“Everything was happening so fast. There were people everywhere, and we didn’t know what was going on. One minute we were together, the next our baby was taken away. We sat there in shock - not knowing what to say to each other. But no matter what, you just want to stay.”
This Father’s Day, while celebrating cuddles, cards and family time, we are thinking about dads whose arms are still waiting to hold their baby for the first time.
Your kind gift of £10 can help us to be there for neonatal dads. Help a dad be there. Help him feel supported. Help make this Father’s Day count💛
