Pesticides are contaminating our food and wild spaces - harming our health, and the bees, birds and rivers we depend on. The European Union has already taken stronger action on pesticide use. It’s time we did too. So, where do we start? Glyphosate, the chemical in popular weedkillers like Roundup,...

Meddwl am gadw moch?
Have you thought about keeping pigs?

A lovely webinar led by veterinary surgeon Chris Aukland in discussion with two Welsh pig farmers, myself in Carmarthenshire & Kate Bradshaw in Pembrokeshire!

A surprising number of farms could benefit from keeping a couple of pigs, even if the goal is simply to fill the freezer and make better use of what the farm already produces. Pigs turn windfall fruit, vegetables, and pasture into high quality food remarkably efficiently, and they bring a completely different dynamic to the holding. They clear rough ground, break parasite cycles, improve soil through rooting and manuring, and often become the livestock everyone enjoys spending time with most.

For many people, pigs are also the gateway animal that reconnects them with practical, home-produced food. Once you have raised your own pork, understood exactly how those animals were managed, and tasted the difference, it changes the way you think about farming altogether.

But pigs can also feel intimidating if you are new to them. Questions around feeding, stress, disease pressure, respiratory issues, parasites and routine management put many people off before they even begin. That is exactly why we created our Raising Resilient Pigs webinar.

This session is not about idealised smallholding fantasy. It is practical, farmer-focused guidance designed to help you raise stronger, calmer, healthier pigs with fewer problems and less reliance on routine chemical inputs.

Inside the webinar we cover:

• Building resilience rather than constantly firefighting problems

• Supporting pigs naturally through stress points and change

• Prevention and early intervention strategies that save time and money

• Practical approaches to respiratory and digestive health

• Creating healthier pigs with stronger immunity and better recovery

Whether you are keeping two pigs for the freezer, adding pigs into a regenerative system, or looking to improve an existing enterprise, this webinar will give you practical ideas you can apply immediately.

You will have lifetime access to the recording so you can revisit it whenever you need.
