🥰 It really does take a community to make our markets happen!

As we make some major changes to Montrose Market this weekend, with the addition of our brand new market stalls, it’s taken a lot of planning and organising.

We are so excited to give our new box trailer and market stalls an outing this weekend and thank Angus Rural Partnership for their grant support.

Behind the scenes we have an amazing bunch of volunteers and helpers, all pulling together to make it happen, supporting our traders and the local communities we are bringing our markets to.

We are supported by some amazing people, and we want to give them a little shout out:

☺️ Our very own Bob, who is a well kent face at our markets, keeps everything running like clockwork on market day.
☺️Mike Fallone of Fallone's Pizzas & Gelato who has fitted out our new trailer, and bright and early this morning towed it up to its new home in Montrose.
☺️Rotary in Montrose who are providing volunteers to help assemble and pack down our new market stalls. Special thanks to Larry who is leading on this and supporting with trailer towing too.
☺️Jamie of Jts Autocare who has generously offered us a secure home for our trailer.
☺️Our dedicated market committee, with volunteers from Artisana - Exquisitely Decadent Brownies, Wee COOK, Pitscandly Farm, Shed35 Brewery, Toll House Spirits and Arbroath Fisheries. Without these people giving up their time, the markets simply wouldn’t happen.

Are you a forward-thinking go-getter who loves local produce, community events, and making things happen? Producers of Angus Markets (PAM) is looking for a dynamic, independent, and sociable Market Manager to join our team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of our local food and drink community, working alongside our brilliant team of volunteers and passionate local traders.

What you’ll be doing:

📋Market Day Management: Being the face of the market on the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and successfully.

😊 Trader Relations & Recruitment: Liaising with our current market traders and actively finding and retaining amazing new talent to keep our markets vibrant.

💻 Behind-the-Scenes Administration: Keeping things organised, from bookings and compliance to general admin and invoicing.

📣 Social Media Management & Marketing: Helping us shout about our markets, tell our traders' stories, and drive footfall through engaging content. Managing our wider marketing campaign.

Who we’re looking for:

⭐️ A self-starter who is entirely comfortable working independently but loves collaborating with a team of passionate volunteers.

💬 A natural communicator who is sociable, approachable, and thrives on building great relationships.

🌱 Someone proactive with fresh ideas to help our markets grow and evolve.

If you love local food and drink, have great organisational skills, and want a role where you can truly make an impact, we want to hear from you!

This is a self employed role and you will be expected to manage your own workload and hours. It's fully flexible, although we will need you to be available on market days! A laptop, printer and phone will be provided. Opportunity for an immediate start for the right candidate.
