Total dream to call in with our inspiration Dig-In Bruntsfield in Edinburgh. They gave us loads of advice and encouragement when we were plotting and planning our shop.

Some pics from our third AGM. As usual I’ll say time flies when you’re running a community greengrocers. Lots of things are tough right now, but it’s important to take a step back and think about why we do what we do. We love veg, we love our members and we love Carrick.

Plenty of locally grown spuds in the shop at the minute including this fresh delivery from Sunnylands Primary School, Carrickfergus who are teaching their pupils the joy of growing vegetables and what being a supplier to a local shop looks like. More of this! 🤩🤩🤩🙌🏻🥰

We are excited to be launching Visual Noise again for 2026/27 and are opening our registration for photographers of all ages and abilities to take part 📸

It’s a collaboration between local photographers and musicians of all ages and backgrounds: the photographers capture a series of images (many taken right here in Carrick), and the musicians compose original pieces inspired by them.

We wanted to explore how emotion “translates” from one art form to another. While photography and music feel very different, both are powerful ways to tell a story.

By bringing these two worlds together, we’re encouraging new interpretations of our town and celebrating the incredible creativity found right here in Carrickfergus.

In 2026, the exhibition took place in Carrick Museum and Civic Centre from 28th March – 11th April 2026; in partnership with Carrickfergus Museum and we are looking forward to partnering with them again to host another exhibition.
