We always use & sell Mayfield eggs

A quick reassurance about Salmonella…
You may have seen the recent news about a Salmonella outbreak in the UK, with investigations identifying eggs imported from outside the UK as a potential source.
We wanted to reassure our customers of the measures that we take here at Mayfield Eggs.
1/ All of our hens are vaccinated against Salmonella
2/ Every flock is regularly tested for Salmonella throughout its life as part of the UK’s national Salmonella control programme
3/ Our eggs are accredited by Laid in Britain assurance scheme, which is approved by the Food Standards Agency
4/ Our eggs are fully traceable back to the flock they came from - Every egg says F(number) which gives us the flock number that laid that egg.

Alongside this, we follow strict hygiene, biosecurity and food-safety procedures both on the farm and in our egg packing centre which is audited by Salsa Food.

Food safety is something we take extremely seriously, and we’re proud of the standards behind every Mayfield egg.
