Info for Kids’ food this summer from major supermarkets and restaurants. Don’t forget that if you are in need of food support the Community Larder and Food Bank at Milbrook Hub is available. As well as the food bank available by registration for Cary and Ansford residents, there is also food share and food waste schemes which are available for everyone!

The Household Support Fund can provide short-term urgent financial help to Somerset residents who are struggling to afford household essentials.

You may have heard of the new government support package known as the Energy Bills Rebate to help households with rising energy costs.

SSDC has set up a project team to implement this scheme and will inform residents very soon on how it will work. Please keep an eye on here in the coming weeks for an update.

The team at Morrisons have donated this celebration cake to the Community Larder. The best before date is 16th November 2021.

Do you have a celebration for a young person amongst your friends and family in the next couple of days? Might they be a Peppa Pig fan? Not yet found the cake for your celebration?

This cake is available for collection from the Community Larder ( in the Milbrook car park ) between 8.30 and 10am or 3pm to 4pm TODAY!

We only have one, so it's likely to not hang around. Just have a word with one of our friendly volunteers when you arrive to see if it's it's still available.
