The original hive is still queenless, my swarm prevention didn't work and the hive swarmed 3 times.
So I've taken a frame of eggs from one of my new 2 hives. The bees should start creating a new queen. If this fails I can order a fertilised queen ready to go via the royal mail🤣
On a plus note. I've managed to take a few litres of spring honey off before all the swarming issues

Bees do what Bees do, they still managed to swarm, even though I thought I'd done enough for it not to happen. But nature is nature and it was an amazing sight to see. Maybe not for the neighbours. But all collected and handed to a fellow beekeeping for his spare hive.

New colony day today. All transported and installed in their new home this morning.

Our original queen has been successfully moved into a new hive with 3 frames of bees and larvae to start a new colony. Her old colony is rearing a new queen from larvae, which would have resulted in the original queen swarming. This process stops the swarm and gives us another hive. Other option was to squish her 😬, to stop them swarming.

End result more honey🍯
