‘Caledonia Dreamin’ from Castle Douglas’s own Sulwath Brewers is a modern Scottish pale ale brewed in celebration of Scotland being in the World Cup ⚽️

From Castle Douglas to Provence 🇫🇷🍷

This week was a special one for us at Harris & Co.

Not only were we lucky enough to attend the wedding of Stewart and Rosie in Provence, but we were incredibly proud to help supply the wines for the celebrations.

Over the years, we’ve built relationships with winemakers we genuinely love working with. To see some of those wines being enjoyed by our family and friends on such a special day, against the backdrop of the French countryside, felt rather surreal.

A huge congratulations to the happy couple! Thank you for letting Harris & Co play a small part in such an amazing celebration.

An absolute pleasure hosting Günter from at last night's tasting.

Hearing all about the history of the winery and the area where these fantastic wines come from; we tried a terrific selection including a fresh yet textured Grüner Veltliner, a super Weissburgunder, a classy Blaufränkisch right through to the decadent Josanna with each of the six wines having more than a few fans!

South African Wine Tasting

1. A great group joined us last night to enjoy a selection of 8 wines from South Africa 🇿🇦

2. A lot of thought goes into these events behind the scenes: we want the whole table to feel warm,relaxed and ready for a great night

3. Rowan puts together a lovely wine menu for each tasting to guide our guests through the evening

4. Our cheeseboard last night was a selection of Comte, Gubben, Durrus and Ossau Iraty 👌

Liboll Spumante Rosé Extra Dry 🍊

Delicate pale salmon hue with a fine mousse, this sparkling rosé offers up aromatic notes of orange blossom, pink grapefruit and pomegranate. Crisp and refreshing, with hints of Mediterranean herbs on the finish.

'Timo' Vermentino 🍋

Exotic floral and citrus aromas combine with notes of thyme and rosemary in this elegant and refreshing white with a saline, zesty finish.

Salice Salentino🍷

An intense bouquet of cherry, savoury plum and spicy notes combined with an attractive hint of Mediterranean herbs. Full bodied, warm and generous with a pleasantly fresh finish.
