‼️RELIEF MILKER REQUIRED‼️

Due to recently moving to 3 times per day milking, we’re looking for someone to join our team as a relief milker.

Our milking shifts start at 4:30am, 12pm and 7pm, and usually last 3 hours, working in a team of 3.

Experience preferred but not essential.

Excellent rate of pay, with week day and weekend shifts available.

Slagnaw Farming Limited are offering an opportunity for someone to join our progressive business as a herds person.

At present we are heading towards 700 cows producing 9500 litres, milked twice daily in our brand new Delaval 60 point rotary. Our aim is to maximise use of forages while developing our grazing strategy. We strive to create and maintain a pleasant working environment and provide a good work life balance.

We would look for the following attributes in our successful applicant:-
• Good communication and the ability to work well within a team
• Excellent animal husbandry and welfare skills
• Keen to learn, and take responsibility.
• Hardworking, honest and reliable.

An ability (or keenness to be trained) in AI and foot trimming would be an advantage, as would basic tractor driving skills.

In return, we offer the following :-
• Attractive salary commensurate with experience
• Alternate weekends off
• 5 weeks holiday annually
• Accommodation can be discussed.
• Training as required.

We currently have a vacancy for a good all rounder to join our team here at Slagnaw
Main duties would include tractor work (including regularly feeding with diet mixer), calf rearing and other stock work.
A willingness to milk occasionally may be an advantage.
A full driving licence with own transport is essential as, unfortunately, no accommodation is available with this position.
