Deirge takes its name from the gaelic for the red river that runs through the historic town of Castlederg, where our beer is brewed.

Myths and legends passed down through the centuries chronicle how the river gained a distinctive red tinge from blood spilt in ancient, heroic battles.

We use this famed water, along with the finest ingredients, to create a range of craft beers that reflect the history and character of our local area.

Flowing with stories of the land it’s brewed upon, our medium bodied amber ale has a subtle sweet maltiness that is perfectly balanced with citrus and pine hop flavours.
