Join us for this special tasting tomorrow (Friday 12th June) 3-6pm in store. It's completely free so drop in whenever convenient to explore a selection of outstanding whiskies and rums, including drams from Indri (India), Admiral Rodney (St Lucia), East London Liquor Co. and more.
The highlight promises to be The English Distillery The English Whisky Distillery's Sherry Cask Matured English Single Malt, crowned World's Best Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2024. Opportunities to try this remarkable whisky are increasingly rare, as much of the production is now destined for international markets.
Fortunately, Alec from MANGROVE has secured us a generous allocation specifically for this tasting, giving you a unique chance to experience one of the most celebrated whiskies currently being produced in the UK.

It's the purple one! 💜🥃 None other than 'World's Best Single Malt' at the 2024 from vanishingly small allocations available in the UK ever since because this is a key export for the whole industry putting English Whisky on the map worldwide 🌎 Two sold this morning before I could even get it on the system. Not going online with this one yet but give us a call and we can post you one we are also a tenner cheaper than Amazon which tends to happen when there's not much about 🔥 Will try and hold one back for and watch out for our tasting in store next Friday 3-6pm with Alec from who kindly arranged this allocation for us 🥃🙏👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Great to see working his magic yesterday installing the signage at our new premises in Hope. Really happy now with the consistency across our two sites (Castleton and Hope) both situated in beautiful old Peak District barn buildings. It's really something to reflect on the centuries of history and realise they are now home to a drinks business we have built from the ground up since Covid.
It's never been tougher and there are undoubtedly more challenges ahead particularly for hospitality. So while we're incredibly excited about this next chapter we're also approaching it with a huge dose of respect for the businesses around us. We're inspired to see successful hospitality and drinks trade businesses throughout High Peak and Hope Valley all setting standards we can aspire to.
We still work closely with dozens of local businesses scaled similarly to ourselves, and that's not going to change in the new venue. Our new tap and bottle shop is a natural extension of what has brought us this far. Carefully chosen wines, beers and spirits, a strong focus on local producers and suppliers, and the kind of customer service we'd always want to receive ourselves.
None of this would have been possible without the support of our customers, our fantastic local suppliers, and the wider Hope Valley and High Peak communities. Every purchase, recommendation and kind word helped us get to this point and we're very grateful 🙏
We're aiming to open in around two weeks time. Equal parts exciting and terrifying! Wish us luck 🍻
