A customer made us cry.

That's right, we're not afraid to admit when things get emotional. Last week, a customer of ours came in and asked if anyone else was in the shop. When we said no, that it was quiet, she pulled out an envelope and proceeded to read out loud:

RAP/ DITTY /ODE/ TO HEALTH & REMEDY

If you're feeling sad and blue
This is what I think you should do...
Point your feet up Holyrood Street
To the loveliest couple you'd wish to meet
Health & Remedy is the name
Your complete welfare is their game.
Their care and service is second to none
With advice and knowledge for everyone.
There's lotions and potions and things to eat
Like chocolate and honey and sweets for a treat.

There's gluten and meat and dairy free food
And herbal tea too, whatever your mood.
This shop is great, it's the place to be
It's full of POSITIVITY 😊

And of course, we cried.

We've worked together in many roles over the years, but never have we had someone enjoy their experience so much that they've written us a poem.

We would like to state, officially, that we have the BEST patrons in the world! ♥️🌎

Sunday ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spotlight

This week’s review is for Otter Valley Ice Cream & Field Kitchen.

✅ Incredible homemade ice cream
✅ Beautiful countryside setting
✅ Friendly, welcoming team

We've been to Otter Valley Ice Cream twice in the last month, and I don't think it'll be the last! If you're in the mood for ice cream, this is the place worth travelling to. Sitting amongst countryside views with the cows happily grazing nearby. 🐄🍦

Their gelato style ice cream is made from scratch in small batches, and you can really taste the difference. We tried the sea buckthorn, mint and chocolate, and every one was packed with flavour. The hardest part is deciding what to have, as there are so many tempting flavours. We could quite happily go back every week just to work our way through the menu!

What really makes the experience though is the team. Everyone serves with a smile, they're more than happy to let you try a few flavours before you choose, and they genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. It's that sort of service that keeps people coming back.

If you've never been, make this the excuse to visit. Great ice cream, beautiful views and a lovely team. What more could you want?

Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
