As a branch from Stewarts Deli and Tearoom, the oldest tearoom in Chelmsford, we have started Stewarts at home so that you can get all of your Stewarts favourites, delivered to your door!

What a fabulous day delivering lots of delicious afternoon tea's for Mothering Sunday!

In a very similar way to our Father's Day afternoon teas we were a very busy tearoom getting everything prepped! It felt great to be back with the coffee machine on!

Thank you to those who we delivered to today and yesterday, and to chose who collected as well! It's great to have such support for us at Stewart's Deli and Tearoom.
Can't wait to be back to see you all enjoying your afternoon teas with us!

Looking for the perfect Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea for Two? It has arrived!

We have loved getting this Afternoon Tea sorted- it is full of our favourites and we know that you'll love it!

Our much awaited Mothering Sunday Tea for Two includes:
- Homemade slices of cake (that you can choose, of course)

- A selection of freshly made finger sandwiches with a choice of luxury fillings

- Homemade chocolate chip scones with Rodda's Clotted Cream and Tiptree Jam

- Taylor's of Harrogate English Breakfast Tea and a hand written floral greetings card!

All you have to do is pop the kettle on.
£25 for two people

We have limited order slots on dates 13-15th March (mostly so that our Mum can get a sit down!) and will only be offering our Stewarts favourites so that we can bring you the yummiest and freshest bits and bobs!

We are asking that all orders for 13th-15th are placed by 10th March, to give us time to get baking!
All deliveries and collections will be within the 11-2 time frame, just in time for tea.
Once you have ordered, we will contact you to confirm a time.

Are we doing a Mother's Day Afternoon tea?
We have had lots of people asking us this question!

After the roaring success of our Father's Day 'His and Hers' Afternoon tea (that feels now, like a lifetime ago!) We have decided to do a special Afternoon Tea for Mother's Day.

I think that we are all still recovering from our Father's Day tea- it was so busy! Therefore, we are only offering limited delivery slots for Mother's Day (mostly, so that we can give our own Mum a sit down!)

We're still fine tuning the details and coming up with some Stewarts specials, our favourites, and bits that we know you will love! We have set 5th March as our 'Launch date' for the Afternoon Tea.

We're pleased to say that after a few weeks of a strange (but restful) lockdown 2.0, the doors of Stewarts are back open, just in time for Christmas. Treat yourself to a break from Christmas shopping by popping in to see us.

We can't wait to welcome you back to our cosy, fresh and safe tearoom with some homemade treats. It has been a tough year for us and more than ever, we appreciate all the support from you, our lovely customers!

Whilst Chelmsford town centre has some buzz to it, everyone is being very sensible. Pop into see us for coffee and cake, fresh lunches and homemade cakes and scones.

Made it through the week? Schools going back? This weekend is the BEST excuse for a treat (I know we're in need of one!)

TSIF (Thank Stewarts It's Friday!!) We've made it through another week folks, whether that may be another week of the school holidays, another week of working from home, or another week of battling the crowds in the town centre!

Time has moved in an odd way recently, it seems to be going so much quicker than it did at the height of lockdown! I was sat thinking about one of my favourite memories of lockdown, and VE Day had to be one! We served LOADS of scones, had a lovely street party and even had an afternoon tea for ourselves (accompanied with Pimms of course....) There really is something about an afternoon tea that marks an occasion, big or small.

Fun fact, we now MAKE our pasties!! We love everything Cornish, from homemade scones, Callistick ice cream and (of course) Cornish pasties! We are getting rather jealous of the influx of tourists that Cornwall is getting, especially as we're not managing to get down there this year, BUT there is a compromise...

Pasties of course, buttery flaky pastry, filled with homemade deliciousness. So good that pickle the puppy even approves!
