The countdown is officially on. In just one month's time, families from across Essex will be exploring the maze, picking flowers and enjoying a great day out.

From 25th July 2026, get ready for fresh air and family fun.

The Bridge is Up! 🌉🌽

A big milestone has been reached - the bridge is now in place!

While the maize continues to grow around it, the viewing platform is ready and waiting. Before long you'll be able to climb to the top, take in the views across the maze and hopefully spot the route back out!

Things are coming together nicely and we can't wait to welcome you all later this summer.

Haylage baling is underway as we get everything ready for another exciting season ahead.

The Pick Your Own flowers are growing nicely already 👀

Our dahlias and sunflowers are starting to take shape ready for a colourful summer at Writtle Maize Maze. There’s still plenty of growing to do, but it’s exciting seeing the first signs of what’s coming 🌱

This year you’ll be able to wander through the flowers, pick your favourites and only pay for what you pick.

Last week the baling started across the fields 🌾🚜

While the maze keeps growing, the farm team have been busy baling haylage ready for the months ahead. It’s all part of life on the farm and a reminder that there’s always plenty happening behind the scenes at Writtle Maize Maze 👀
