Tap Room 19

For those who don't know, after some 10 years of being rude to everyone, Ken Seaman has decided he is now old and decrepit and would like to move into a part-time role and (gasp!) have weekends off. We therefore have a vacancy for a part-time colleague to staff and run Tap Room 19 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We are looking for someone experienced in bar work, who has a good knowledge of cask beer and can promote and enjoy the convivial banter the tap room is renowned for. Might that be you? If anyone would like further details please email [email protected] or pop in to the brewery shop during normal office hours for a chat. We cannot offer the world but there is an opportunity to work in a (hopefully!) renowned small local business within an excellent (if small) and enthusiastic team and promote the cause of small brewery beer, to boot. What to call our tenth anniversary beer. This question kept our advertising department busy for hours I would like to say days but that would be a lie..
And the final word was " I'm not proud" 🤣🤣

Happy 10th anniversary to us.
Just for a change a brand new beer will be available today to celebrate the occasion, a mix of summit, Apollo and huell melon hops and at 3.9% a proper session beer for a school night 😁🍻🤣

Awesome place for a beer and pork pie. Bar man was great. Very friendly place. I'm not sure you'd enjoy if you aren't into good beer and a quiet room in an industrial estate in Essex, but if that's your thing, you should try it.

Everyone in there looked a bit like James May, but that's not a bad thing.

Its like that lovely warm feeling you get when you put your foot in a wellington boot full of custard, an antidote to the modern world, The beer is wonderful and the conversation has an edge to it not sharp enough to cut ones self on just sharp enough to remind you life is finite this counterpoints the humorous toilet wonderfully, smiling while urinating is one of life pleasures,
The interior is spotlessly tidy and comes with an aroma not unlike honeysuckle, imagine honeysuckle with attitude. The bar man is a complete and total font of knowledge on all matters relating to zymology and with his steady hands on the pump his patrons will not go far wrong

Love this place. Great beer, excellent atmosphere, made all the better by Ken who runs it. He is a great laugh and abuses his customers in a good way. 🤣
When it comes to food they really don't do food other than pork pies crisps etc.
Service is appalling but that's the way we like it. Ken does not discriminate- he is rude to everyone. The beer makes up for anything.
