We couldn't agree more!...
What a lovely recommendation for The Horse & Groom at Bourton-on-the-Hill in The Times! ๐

"This roadside inn near Moreton-in-Marsh brings to mind Ridley Scottโs nostalgia-laden Hovis ad. It stands above Bourtonโs ribbon of syrup-stone houses that tumble down to a soft landing in Evenlode Valley โ and you get that glorious view from its lovely garden, making it a great place to roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. Sit under a fruit tree with a pint of Donnington and the Sunday roast. Order the sharing platter of meats (beef, lamb and chicken), which is generous enough to satisfy even the greediest soul.
"Indoors is winningly unpretentious, with wood-burning stoves, burgundy walls and a ยฃ16 dish of the day that ensures this place is always buzzing with locals (Tuesday is pie night). The chefs, Nathan Eades and Liam Goff, should be knighted โ possibly even canonised โ for their chicken chasseur pie with creamed spinach and whipped potato. Youโll climb the stairs to one of the four simple bedrooms convinced that you wonโt be hungry for a week, yet with a full-fat fry-up on offer for breakfast it would be rude not to indulge."
