Reliable and durable to bed any shed. This is the official page for Spread-a-Bale Ltd. Invented in 1995 by Michael Hughes, a former dairy farmer. We currently sell into Europe, Australia and have just delivered our first machines into North America.

Showcasing our Micro-Lite ST for 1 tonne loaders 🚜

Throw a 5ft round or 5 x 4 x 3ft bale up to 26ft / 8m to the left, right or out ahead with the direction of spread being controlled by just the movement of a canopy and the turn of a valve.

End-mounted and only 1.7 metres wide, our Micro-Lite ST is ideal for narrow passageways.

Have you spotted our Maxi XL HD at ?
We’re proud to be working on a seven year project in collaboration with Groundswell to investigate if potatoes can be grown more sustainably with no till methods. Using our mulching hood, this Maxi XL HD offers a uniform cover of straw over the newly planted tubers to protect them from moisture loss, negate the need for irrigation even in a dry year, eliminate herbicide requirements and in the longer term, cost effectively improve the soil organic matter.

Did you know that all of our machines are also self-loading? Watch as the belt grips the bale and pulls it on, negating the need for a second loader 🚜
