What's stopping us from pouring you a glass? 🥛

We're busy transforming an external room into our dream preparation space – a dedicated area where we'll be able to safely prepare and share our raw milk with you.

Work is due to begin over the next couple of weeks, and we'll be taking you along for the journey, sharing our progress every step of the way.

In the meantime, our commitment to quality never stops. We'll continue carrying out all the required raw milk testing so that, once our new prep room is complete, we can work with our local council and the Food Standards Agency to gain approval to begin supplying our raw milk.

The wait will be worth it.

🎉 Our first ever raw goat milk test results are in... and we're absolutely delighted! 🐐🥛

As a new raw goat milk producer, quality and hygiene have been our priority from day one, so receiving these first independent test results is a real milestone for us.

Our results showed:

✨ Exceptionally low bacterial counts – demonstrating excellent milking hygiene and rapid cooling.
✨ Great butterfat and protein levels – producing rich, nutritious goat's milk.
✨ No antibiotic residues detected.
✨ An encouraging improvement in our somatic cell count between our first and second samples.

These results reflect the care we put into looking after our goats, maintaining our milking equipment, and producing the highest quality milk possible.

This is just the beginning of our journey, and we're excited to continue learning, improving and providing fresh, high-quality raw goat milk from Hawthorn Hill Farm.

What a week it's been at DE-G-LORES's! 🐐🥛

We had our official visit from the Food Standards Agency and wow — what an experience. The team were brilliant and shared so much knowledge with us, all focused on making sure our raw goat milk is absolutely the best it can be. We came away feeling more confident and prepared than ever.

And today? Another huge milestone. We've officially registered with National Milk Laboratories, who will be carrying out our twice-monthly milk tests as well as additional twice-yearly ones. Once those first results come in, we'll have even more detailed information about the wonderful milk our girls are producing — and we can't wait to share it all with you.

This journey has taken patience, paperwork, and more than a few cups of tea 😄 — but every step is bringing us closer to being able to put proper, tested, certified raw goat milk in your hands.

Thank you for being on this ride with us. It genuinely means everything. 💚

We have some VERY exciting news to share with you all...

Next week, we have our meeting with the Food Standards Agency. 🎉

If you've been following our journey from the very beginning — from Bill and Ben turning up as cheeky little bottle-fed pets, to Delorous inspiring our whole brand name, to our little herd growing to five beautiful milking girls — you'll know just how much this means to us.

The FSA registration has been the main thing standing between us and being able to legally sell our milk. It's been a long road (and a lot of patience!), but we are genuinely nearly there.

We can't promise anything just yet — but we wanted you to share in this moment with us, because you've been with us every step of the way. The herd are absolutely delighted. Well, Delorous is mostly delighted that it meant she got an extra treat this evening, but we'll take it. 🐐

Watch this space. We think 2026 is about to get very exciting for DE-G-LORES! 🥛🌿
