The Story Behind the Wonderland ✨
✨ Once upon a time… there was a little girl called Olivia (see her at the start of the story and now as you swipe left.. 🧚♀️
Her Mum and Dad had a big idea…
Nick and Nicola Laister wanted to create somewhere their daughter Olivia, who has cerebral palsy, could enjoy alongside her brothers and sister — not from the sidelines, and not somewhere that felt separate or institutional.
They couldn’t find that place… so they decided to build it themselves. ❤️
And that’s how Fairytale Farm was born.
A place where fairy tales, animals and adventure come together — but, most importantly, where disabled children come first in the design, while everyone is welcome.
No separate experience.
No one left behind.
No complicated booking just to have fun.
Just turn up, explore, play and enjoy the day together. 🌈
But there’s another special part of our story…
🌿 Almost everything at Fairytale Farm is handmade, homemade or repurposed. ♻️
We’ve rescued, reinvented and breathed new life into things that might otherwise have been thrown away — including attractions, materials and animals from elsewhere — giving them a new story here on the farm.
✨ We like to think of Fairytale Farm as the UK’s first upcycled and sustainably purposed visitor attraction — proving that you don’t need to start from scratch to create something wonderful.
Sometimes, the things that others throw away just need a little imagination. 💚
So, behind every fairy tale, every play area and every quirky corner, there’s a story of family, inclusion, creativity, sustainability and a whole lot of love.
And that’s the real story of Fairytale Farm…
A place built from a dream — for every child. 🏰💚
